Devon Yousif is a Professional Electrical Engineer in the State of California with over 5 years of experience in renewable energy. He started his career working for the Local Utility Company (SDG&E) which involved commissioning, operating, troubleshooting, and design Engineering Energy Storage Systems owned by the utility. At SDG&E, he also played a part in Microgrid integration and has a deep understanding on the topic. From there, Devon pursued his career being the Subject Matter Expert on Energy Storage Systems for Borrego Solar. This job consisted of sizing ESS as well as working with Utilities, AHJ’s, and Tier 1 Manufacturers in order to get these systems permitted/approved. Devon has over 15 combined years of experience in the Electrical Contracting & Engineering Space. He started learning at a younger age due to his father’s Electrical business. Devon’s ability to understand the renewable space and having an Electrical background provides a subject matter expertise that’s hard to find given how new Energy Storage is in the C&I space.
Rangan Bharath is a seasoned Electrical Engineer with over 15 years of progressive experience in product management, project management, customer support, and service. He is passionate about strategic leadership, team development, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Rangan's ability to establish a vision, formulate effective strategies, and execute projects to drive tangible business results has been instrumental in his career. He is now applying those values of customer obsession, innovation, and agility, along with his skills in strategic and team leadership, process improvement, and talent development at Renewable Energy Solutions.
Sebastian Salem is an Electrical Engineer who has worked as an Electrical Design Engineer and Project Manager for 7+ years in the C&I space, with projects consisting of low and medium voltage systems, building/site power infrastructure systems, renewable systems, arc flash and short circuit coordination, lighting & lighting controls, and more. He has seasoned experience working with multiple AHJ’s such as HCAI (formerly OSHPD), DSA, and numerous cities/counties throughout all of CA and is well versed with the California Electric, Fire, and Energy codes. Sebastian has long been intrigued with all things renewables, and is excited to intertwine electrical technical expertise with renewables focused applications.
Javier Santos is a Director and Solutions Architect with over 15 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying advanced energy and building technologies across the commercial and industrial sector. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED community. Javier began his career as a Project Manager with the Port of San Diego, supporting Engineering and Environmental Land Use Planning on major capital improvement initiatives. He is passionate about collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end, client-centric solutions that drive performance, resilience, and sustainability. Javier currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Balboa Park Committee of 100 and the Executive Committee of the San Diego Coalition of Public Places.
Jerrel brings an extensive background in advanced manufacturing to Renewable Energy Solutions, with hands-on experience at Qualcomm and Zebra Technologies. He has a deep understanding of the day-to-day issues and challenges faced at the back end of procurement. Jerrel gained insightful knowledge of operations, customer relations, customer satisfaction through his training in designing layouts, quoting, and project managing.
Steven Busse is a Computer Engineer who joined Renewable Energy Solutions in 2024. He has experience in full-stack development, power systems, and optimization/modeling software. His background includes engineering roles focused on energy modeling, sizing tools, and full-stack software integration, with projects spanning battery modeling tools, California Energy Code compliance, and financial modeling. Steven is well-versed in translating technical energy data into practical, actionable tools for both internal and customer use. He brings a unique blend of electrical engineering, software development, and renewable energy expertise, and is passionate about leveraging smart tools and clean tech to drive real-world impact in the C&I space.
Alyssa Santamaria is a seasoned Senior Project Manager with over seven years of experience. With a strong foundation in the lighting industry, she brings a wealth of experience, tools, and insight to the Renewable Energy Solutions side of the business. Her background in customer service, along with her studies in business and technology, gives her a well-rounded and strategic approach to project management. Alyssa has been instrumental in developing streamlined processes that make order entry efficient and stress-free. Once a purchase order is placed, she becomes the primary point of contact—overseeing the project from start to finish until all materials are delivered and ready for commissioning. Jessica Campos is a 10-year veteran of San Diego Lighting Associates (SDLA) with deep experience connecting lighting products, project teams, and customer needs.
In 2017, Jessica was instrumental in launching SDLA’s Quick Quotes department, a service designed to meet distributor demand for rapid pricing and availability on white-goods lighting products. She actively marketed the program to the distributor network and worked closely with lighting manufacturers to ensure customers received fast, reliable solutions for their projects.
As the department grew, Jessica transitioned into a Project Coordinator role, helping drive project information and early timelines to the sales, quotes, and project management teams. During this time, she also played a key role in implementing Salesforce, improving internal coordination and visibility across the organization.
Today, as Field Service Coordinator, Jessica manages the schedules of SDLA and Renewable Energy Solutions’ seven (7) Controls Service Field Engineers, ensuring project start-ups run smoothly and timelines are met.
Her progression from front-office support to field coordination reflects years of hands-on experience in customer service, project planning, and operational support, along with a consistent commitment to helping customers and project teams succeed.
